The selected candidate will work with researchers in the execution of the research agenda of the Capital Markets and Financial Institutions Division, mainly on topics related to financial frictions, financial innovation, productivity and growth, financial regulation, and financial stability.
Assist researchers in the preparation of research papers, reports and presentations.
Identify, compile and organize databases.
Perform econometric, statistical and simulation analyses.
Prepare literature reviews.
Participate in academic discussions on research findings.
Other activities as required by the coordinator of this consultancy.
Bachelor's degree in Economics or related field and two years of work experience.
Experience in applied research in macroeconomics and finance at a recognized university or research center preferred. Strong background in econometrics, mathematics and statistics.
Skills: Initiative in research, ability to work independently and to participate in research teams. Working knowledge of LaTeX and experience in publications editing is desired although not necessary to apply. Previous experience with Stata and Matlab required; advanced programming level preferred. Good knowledge of Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
